GOT DRUGS? Saturday, October 28th is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) is promoting Saturday, October 28, 2017, as National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on October 28th, the public will have the opportunity to rid from their homes potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. Dentists and their patients are encouraged to participate.
Last April, Americans turned in 450 tons of prescription drugs safely at over 5,400 sites operated by DEA and state and local law enforcement partners. For more information about National Prescription Drug Take-Back Initiative, including a list of local drug collection sites, click here.
