GOT DRUGS – National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) is promoting Saturday, April 30th as National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on April 30th, the public will have the opportunity to rid from their homes potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. Dentists and their patients are encouraged to participate.
Last September, Americans turned in 350 tons of prescription drugs safely at over 5,000 sites operated by DEA and state and local law enforcement partners. For more information about National Prescription Drug Take-Back Initiative, including a list of local drug collection sites, click here.
