Employers Must Provide Updated Wage Form by July 8th – California Employers
With the new California Paid Sick Leave requirements taking effect on July 1, the California Division of Industrial Relations has updated the wage order notice that must be given to all new employees. The updated notice is available LC_2810 5 notice, or it can be accessed at our website – my.oshareview.com, in the clients-only section under Professional Documents.
As of 2012, Labor Code 2810.5 requires employers to provide a worksheet providing employee-specific wage information to nonexempt new hires. The notice contains an acknowledgement of receipt for the employee to sign. If the employer changes any of the information required on the notice, the employer must provide the nonexempt employees with a new one within seven days. Employers have until July 8, 2015, to distribute the updated form.
