CA Dentists: Updated DBC DA Permitted Duties Poster

The Dental Board of California’s (DBC’s) Table of Permitted Duties for Dental Assistants has been updated to reflect amendments to the California Dental Practice Act (DPA), which took effect January 1, 2025 with the passage of Senate Bill 1453 last fall. As required by the DPA, each dentist utilizing dental assistants in their office must display a notice in the office that delineates allowable duties and functions of the dental assistant categories. The updated notice may be downloaded from the DBC’s website.
