NEW: Workplace Know Your Rights Notice (SB 294)

California dental offices have a new required employment notice under Senate Bill 294 (Workplace Know Your Rights Act). This stand-alone notice covers state and federal workplace rights, including information on wages, safety, anti-discrimination, and constitutional protections like Fourth Amendment rights against unreasonable searches by law enforcement at work.

By February 1, 2026, and every year after, employers must provide employees with the annual Workplace Know Your Rights notice. The notice must be provided in a language normally use with employees. The California Labor Commission has an approved template, currently available in English and Spanish.

For more information on employment laws and/or to ensure compliance with general employment requirements, please refer to your employment attorney or your human resources specialist.
