The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) constantly updates its online coronavirus information and resources both for the general public and the healthcare industry.

• The FDA has compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for consumers which addresses such topics as mask usage, diagnostic testing, and use and effectiveness of hand sanitizers.
• The FDA continues to update its Consumer Alert, adding more hand sanitizing products to it, warning the general public about hand sanitizers on the market that are contaminated with methanol. Our latest blog on this can be accessed here.
• The FDA holds pertinent webinars on different topics in its Webinar Series. – The most recent one from July 21 covered respirators for health care personnel use during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• FDA created a website with COVID-19 resources for healthcare professionals, with convenient access to Emergency Use Authorizations, timely information on personal protective equipment (PPE), and updates on development of medical products/devices to help combat COVDI-19.
