October 16-22 is International Infection Prevention Week
The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) recently announced that International Infection Prevention Week is scheduled for October 16-22, 2016. The goal of the initiative is to raise awareness and to promote infection control and prevention in healthcare settings and in the community. The theme for the week is “Break the Chain of Infection”.
APIC has online resources available to healthcare professionals who wish to get involved, including a promotional toolkit, tips on how to “break the chain”, an infection prevention pledge, podcasts on infection control strategies, etc. For more information, click here.
