Texas Sterilizer Monitoring Requirements – Spore Tests

The Rules of the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, in Rule 108.24, state:

“sterilization equipment and its adequacy shall be tested and verified in accord with the American Dental Association (ADA) recommendations”.

The ADA recommends that dental offices monitor their sterilizers at least weekly with biological indicators.
